Our History
The history of Bangladesh International School and College, Jolshiri (BISC, Jolshiri) dates back to its establishment in 2019. The school was founded with the visionary direction of the skilled and experienced administration of the Bangladesh Army. It is the first English medium school located within the Jolshiri Abashon, an elite residential area on the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The cornerstone of BISC, Jolshiri was laid by the Chief of Army Staff on January 3, 2019, symbolizing the support and commitment of the Bangladesh Army to this educational institution. The school was established with the aim of providing felicitous education to the residents of the prestigious Jolshiri Abashon residential area.
BISC, Jolshiri started its academic journey on January 1, 2021, under the regulation of the Bangladesh Army. Initially, the school opened with the primary section, and the Governing Authority has plans to extend the institution up to the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) level in the future.
Throughout its history, BISC, Jolshiri has focused on providing a comprehensive education that not only prepares students for academic success but also instills in them the values of morality and ethics. The school aims to develop contemplative students who become responsible citizens and good human beings.
